Meet Chevi Peters:

Chevi Peteres

Hi…. I’m Chevi Peters, and I want to tell you my story. Soon after I was born, doctors told my parents my chances of living more than two years were slim. That was 28 years ago. Since then, I have survived 38 operations, including a liver transplant, brain surgery and a kidney transplant. Even with all the health issues, I had one dream…to be a part of a team. In 2008, I was introduced to the New Hope Pittsburg Bulldogs Special Olympics Team and my dream has become a reality.

I compete in 12 sports and work out daily. Power lifting is my favorite – I weigh 118 pounds and can dead-lift 280 pounds, bench press 135 pounds, and squat 285 pounds. I love knowing I’ve overcome being a scrawny sick kid to become a champion power lifter. I was moved to tears when I was named the Most Inspirational Athlete of the 2011 Summer Games in Wichita. It was an honor and I’m so proud. Because of your sponsorship I can continue to realize my dreams of training, competing and meeting new friends.

Please consider sponsoring the Heroes Pull, so that myself, and other athletes can be a part of team.

P.S. Special Olympics has changed my life – and I guarantee it can change yours!
